How Many People Actually Go to the T14?

This data and analysis comes from Reddit user u/HYSLawHopeful, who graciously gave us permission to repost his great data on our blog.

HYSLawHopeful sought out to answer the question of what percentage of law school applicants actually ended up at a T14 law school for the Class of 2021 (2017-2018 admissions cycle). Last year, there were 56,900 total CAS registrants.

Note:

  • EA = Enrollees from the Applicant Pool

204 / 56,900 = .36% of the applicant pool

Stanford:
165 (EA) + 15 (OE) = 180 students
180 / 56,900 = .32% of the applicant pool

Harvard:
484 (EA) + 82 (OE) = 566 students
566 / 56,900 = 1% of the applicant pool

We also have actual attendee data from u/goldenbear2020.

Out of 38,390 total 2018 1Ls (from 509 data):

HYS = 950/38390 = 2.5%

T6 = 1980/38390 = 5.2%

T14 = 4482/38390 = 11.7%
